Brandon and Jenna's Mom, a spiritual entrepreneur, philanthropist, animal and nature lover, and author with a financial consultant background.  My passion is turning my past experiences and wisdom into a springboard for helping people through my websites, presentations, and books.  I am the founder of Life Talks, Positive Thoughts on Life, and This Is Not Brandon websites. Why I do this:  I am dedicated to making this world a better place by helping people change and recreate their lives after tragedy.  I do this because I know that no one has to suffer and live in lack no matter what their past may have been, how long it may have been, or what your current circumstances are.  It is my own past and experience that drives me to this purpose.  There is no better teacher and no replacement for experience.

Know Yourself

Nothing is more important than to know yourself.  This makes all things on all planes in all realities easy.

To grow and change we need to integrate insight into our lives.  The irony is that we create all the situations in our lives to teach us things.  We set ourselves up for lessons and when they come along we feel hurt.  Self-pity means you need to be aware of your illusions.  The very hurt and fear that you feel is part of the lesson you yourself have created.  When you stop resisting the feeling and realized that the persons involved in the situation are just actors on the stage, then you are free to receive insights into what is going on.  If you know yourself, then your life works.  You do not have problems in one-to-one relationships.  You do not set yourself up to be rejected or dumped on, lied to or ripped off.  You do not set yourself up to be bored or frustrated, for you are in tune with and following your creative life path.

Betty Bethards, The Dream Book

Dreams Are Whispers From The Soul

Dreams Are Whispers From The Soul.

What you really want to do is what you are really meant to do.  When you do what you are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, you feel useful, and the work you do feels like play to us.  Julia Cameron

We are Worthy

“So many of us were emotionally abandoned as children and learned that the only safety or thing to count on was doing it all by ourselves.  We fill the emptiness by being beholden to no one.  The alternative is giving and receiving.  We are worthy.”  Sark

Love…Our Ultimate Reality

Love is the essential existential fact.  It is our ultimate reality and our purpose on earth.  To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.  Love is who we are and love is what we are here for.  Nothing else is real and nothing else matters.

When we attach ourselves to things, we are searching for meaning in the meaningless.  Money, of itself, means nothing. Material things, of themselves, mean nothing.  It’s not that they’re bad.  It’s that they’re nothing.

Denying love is the only problem, and embracing it is the only answer.  Love heals all of our relationships: to money, the body, work, sex, death, ourselves and one another.   Through the miraculous power of pure love, we let go of our past history in any area and begin again.

It doesn’t matter who we are, where we came from, what Mommy said, what Daddy did, what mistakes we made, what diseases we have, or how depressed we feel.  The future can be reprogrammed in this moment.  We don’t need another seminar, another degree, another lifetime, or anyone’s approval in order for this to happen.  All we need is a gentler perception.  All we have to do is ask for a miracle and allow it to happen, not resist it.  There can be a new beginning, a life unlike the past.  Our relationships shall be made new.  Our careers shall be made new.  Our bodies shall be made new.  There can be a new beginning, a life unlike the past.

Kindness

“How do you change the world?  One random act of kindness at a time”

Nothing Real Can Be Threatened

Nothing unreal exists.  Herein lies the peace of God.  A Course In Miracles  makes a fundamental distinction between the real and unreal; between knowledge and perception.  Knowledge is truth under one law, the law of love or God.  Truth is unalterable, eternal and unambiguous.  It can be unrecognized, but it cannot be changed.  It applies to everything that God created, and only what He created is real.  It is beyond learning because it is beyond time and process.  It has no opposite; no beginning and no end.  It merely is.

Be Strong and Don’t Give Up

Remember…there is a deeper strength and an amazing abundance of peace available to you. Draw from this well; call on your faith to uphold you. Life continues around us, even when our troubles seem to stop time. There is always good in life. Take a few minutes to distract yourself from your concerns — long enough to draw strength from a tree or to find pleasure in a bird’s song. Return a smile; realize that life is a series of levels, cycles of ups and downs — some easy, some challenging. Through it all, we learn; we grow strong in faith; we mature in understanding. The difficult times are often the best teachers, and there is good to be found in all situations. Reach for the good. Be strong, and don’t give up.

Love

“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own”

Robert Heinlein

What Surprises Me Most….by: Dalai Lama

What surprises me most about humanity is man. He sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies never having really lived.” – Dalai Lama

Character

“Be more concerned with character than your reputation because character is who you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are”  John Wooden
