Thinking of Miracles

I’m thinking about miracles today…it’s a great day for Miracles.  Miracles are all around us but we often pass them off as coincidence or miss them all together because we can’t understand how they work…or that they even exist.  I’m thankful for the miracle of life, for the miracle of my family and my pets.  I’m thankful for the miracle of rain today after the long scorching summer… the heat seemed endless. I love watching the rain…it’s so peaceful. I’m thankful for the miracle of health…that I can enjoy life in a healthy body.  I’m thankful for another day. I’m thankful for the miracle of second chances. And I’m watching for more miracles.  You have to believe in miracles.

What miracles are all around you today?

The Resolve Has to Come From Within

“I don’t want people to feel sorry for me because of what I went through as a child.  That serves no purpose and it would not make me feel good.  Instead, I hope people will admire me and use my resolve as a role model for what I was determined to overcome. The resolve has to come from within, and I chose to use it to benefit me instead of inhibit me. I want people to know that my difficult past shaped my wonderful future to be what it is today. I want people to know that I came out the other end a better person”

Have Your Best Day Ever

The reality of death and that we are all here only for a short time is one of the greatest reminders to embrace what’s important and quit focusing on small things.  The small things take up so much of what we think about and focus on. And then we worry about what other people think, will we fail, that we aren’t good enough, what if, etc.   Honestly, does any of that matter?

Don’t let anything stop you from living, dreaming, loving, and following your heart.  It’s all too short and sometimes we don’t get a second chance.  Today, do something different you’ve always wanted to do and see how amazing you feel.

Life is such an amazing gift and it is our responsibility to live it in alignment with our authentic selves, focusing always on what and who is important.  If you haven’t been living your best life, don’t  waste another minute.  You can change right now.  You don’t need another day, to first finish whatever, to have more money, or to wait for anything…now is all you need to start fully living.

 Have your best day ever.

Loving Yourself

“The heart and soul of loving yourself is integrity and the peace of conscience it inspires”

Stephen R. Covey

I Believe…

I Believe…

that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you.
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
that no matter how bad your heart is broken that the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.  And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.
that you shouldn’t be eager to find out a secret.  It could change your life forever.
that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
that you should always leave loved ones with loving well wishes. It may be the last time you see them.
that you can keep going long after you can’t.
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
that we don’t have to change friends, if we understand that friends change.
that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
that you either control your attitude or it controls you.
that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, that passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones who help you get back up.

To See Things Differently

When we are willing to see things differently, they have a way of showing up differently.  When we believe and our minds are open, there are no walls and all things become possible.
