Brandon and Jenna's Mom, a spiritual entrepreneur, philanthropist, animal and nature lover, and author with a financial consultant background.  My passion is turning my past experiences and wisdom into a springboard for helping people through my websites, presentations, and books.  I am the founder of Life Talks, Positive Thoughts on Life, and This Is Not Brandon websites. Why I do this:  I am dedicated to making this world a better place by helping people change and recreate their lives after tragedy.  I do this because I know that no one has to suffer and live in lack no matter what their past may have been, how long it may have been, or what your current circumstances are.  It is my own past and experience that drives me to this purpose.  There is no better teacher and no replacement for experience.

Your Story

Every person you meet is looking for their story, every single one, no exceptions.  You become part of it by how you treat them.

An Act of Self Love

It is an act of self love to refuse to see anyone who you know will break your heart.  It is an act of self love to not knowingly allow anyone into your life who does not consider your needs and desires to be important to them.  It is an act of self love to allow only people into your life who have your best interest at heart and will treat you will love and respect.

Otherwise, you have to think seriously about letting them go for you do not want to spend your life surrounded by people who cannot love you because they don’t have their own self love.

Perfection is Imagination

Perfection is a subjective quality and a figment of our imagination…not a necessity in life.

Let go of any notion that anything has to be perfect.  When you do, you’ll relax into the journey that is life.

The Resolve Has to Come From Within

“I don’t want people to feel sorry for me because of what I went through as a child.  That serves no purpose and it would not make me feel good.  Instead, I hope people will admire me and use my resolve as a role model for what I was determined to overcome. The resolve has to come from within, and I chose to use it to benefit me instead of inhibit me. I want people to know that my difficult past shaped my wonderful future to be what it is today. I want people to know that I came out the other end a better person”

You Have to Take Chances

“You have to take risks…ask a good looking man for his phone number, send the resume to your dream job, buy a lottery ticket…life doesn’t happen unless you take chances.  You won’t get a second chance so you open yourself up to the possibility.

The One You Feed

An old Grandfather said to his grandson, who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice, “Let me tell you a story.

I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do.

But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times.” He continued, “It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him, and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.

But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.

Sometimes, it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit.”

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather’s eyes and asked, “Which one wins, Grandfather?”

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, “The one I feed.”

Only You…

‎”There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU.
YOU are the only person who can revolutionize your life.
YOU are the only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and your success.
YOU are the only person who can help yourself.
Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes.
Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that YOU ARE the only one responsible for your life!”

To Love is to Risk

“To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.  The person who risks nothing, does nothing, sees nothing, has nothing and is nothing.  He cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, or live.”

Just a Reminder…

To Say Yes to Life

Life is meant to be lived in eternal joy, infinite freedom, unconditional love and unbounded happiness.  Any other life is missing the point of being human.  So think bigger, forget limits, embrace the idea of endless possibility, break the rules, forgive quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile.

It will all change you.

And remember, the things that matter most  in life are free.
