Sometimes we don’t want to face the truth. But it’s always there and the truth cannot escape what the heart knows.
Around the corner I have a friend
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone
And I never see my old friends face
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then.
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game
Tired of trying to make a name
Tomorrow I say! ‘I will call on Jim
Just to show that I’m thinking of him.’
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows
Around the corner, yet miles away,
Here’s a telegram sir,’ ‘Jim died today..’
And that’s what we get and deserve in the end
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who reads my blog and my twitter posts, and who likes and comments on them. I just now noticed that most of the comments (on both sites) have gone to spam and I’m sorry I didn’t notice them sooner.
I’m not a computer wiz and time is a big issue, however, you are all in my heart. I don’t want to be just another blog with quotes, although they are wonderful, but instead try to post ideas and thoughts beyond just quotes. I sincerely hope that through my posts and my book that the world is a more positive place one person at a time. If you like what I do please share my sites…
PS. I love animals and use them frequently in my posts pictures. I hope you love them as well
