Brandon and Jenna's Mom, a spiritual entrepreneur, philanthropist, animal and nature lover, and author with a financial consultant background.  My passion is turning my past experiences and wisdom into a springboard for helping people through my websites, presentations, and books.  I am the founder of Life Talks, Positive Thoughts on Life, and This Is Not Brandon websites. Why I do this:  I am dedicated to making this world a better place by helping people change and recreate their lives after tragedy.  I do this because I know that no one has to suffer and live in lack no matter what their past may have been, how long it may have been, or what your current circumstances are.  It is my own past and experience that drives me to this purpose.  There is no better teacher and no replacement for experience.

Today’s Thought: Regrets

What do you regret?

We regret the things most that we didn’t do. We learn most from the regrets we did do that were simply mistakes. These regrets can stagnate or motivate us. It’s not too late to make amends, to start over, to realize that dream, or just accept life’s path and let go of the regrets.

“There’s only us. There’s only this. Forget regrets or life is yours to miss. No other hope. No other way. No day but today!” Jonathon Larson

There are no regrets in life, just lessons. Jennifer Aniston

Today’s Thought: The Seeds of your Life

If you water the seed of every thought…every dream you plant in the ground of your life…often enough, it will develop into strong acts and ideas. The seeds grow and thrive, strengthened by belief until they are visible in your life. You reap what you sow is rich with wisdom. Thoughts and desires are like seeds scattered and left to grow.

You can’t hasten the seasons of growth by force or wanting everything according to your wishes. You plant the seed and then move on to other things allowing life to have its wonderful mysterious way in its own time where much is going on behind the scenes under the ground. Paraphrased from “The Map”

Today’s Thought: Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong

Forgiveness is a releasing of our resistance to positive energy. Forgiving is the ability to say and mean “who cares”. I don’t care what you do or did, I will stay positive and open and allow the kind of conditions I want to come. Do not hinge how you experience life on the actions of others. Just forget it and write a new script. Lynn Grabhorn

“Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness”
Marianne Williamson

Today’s Thought: It doesn’t matter if you always win, what matters is that you try

“I’d rather be a ‘could-be’ if I cannot be an ‘are;’ because a ‘could-be’ is ‘a maybe’ who is reaching for a star. I’d rather be a ‘has-been’ than a ‘might-have-been,’ by far; for a ‘might-have-been’ has never been, but a ‘has’ was once an ‘are.'” Milton Berle

“Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure”
George Edward Woodberry

“I couldn’t wait for success, so I went ahead without it” Jonathan Winters

“I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed” Michael Jordan

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There’s no point in being a damn fool about it” W. C. Fields

“Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown” Ross Perot

“I honestly think it is better to be a failure at something you love than to be a success at something you hate” George Burns

Today’s Thought: WHAT WOULD IT MEAN?

WHAT WOULD IT MEAN TO YOU IF YOU COULD SUDDENLY AWAKEN YOUR DEEPEST PASSIONS, GREATEST ASPIRATIONS AND DREAMS AND BRING THEM TO LIFE?

People can blossom in their greatest strengths rather than shrivel in their occasional weaknesses. When we accept our own perfection instead of focusing on the inadequacies that others are quick to point out to us, we experience healing for ourselves.

Our job is to look into the world for reasons to believe in ourselves. Each time we find one, it replaces the limitations that we may have held ourselves to in the past. It’s when we abandon ourselves to new possibilities that we shatter the old paradigm of false limits and find the spontaneous healing of our beliefs. Gregg Braden

“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it” Buddha

Today’s Thought: Healing your Life

You have to heal yourself in the present and find the beauty in your life today no matter how ugly or bleak your current landscape. Even in the barren desert you have to see the potential for life and not focus on the cracked earth and succulent fruits that ought to be there. In the desert is resilience, survival and resourcefulness even if it means digging deep. Life’s magic is everywhere, even in places that make it hard to believe. You’re meant to experience healing and growth. Colette Baron-Reid

“You have to decide you want life again more than you want to hold on to the past” Positive Thoughts on Life

“The past is a guidepost, not a hitching post” Thomas Holdcroft

Today’s Thought: Taking Risks

“Some people are just natural risk takers that keep on reaching, until they get what they want. They are unwilling to settle for what is not right. People who scramble for safety settle for what they don’t want and for very illogical reasons. They remove themselves from stress, pressure, and challenge and possibly failing by taking a seat in the comfort zone. Comfort zones mean no stretching, changing, risking” Dr. Phil

“You have to take risks…ask a good looking man for his phone number, send the resume to your dream job, buy a lottery ticket…life doesn’t happen unless you take chances. You won’t get a second chance so you open yourself up to the possibility” Terry Hatcher

“It is a great thing to take risks. It will serve you well your whole life” Ron Fair

Today’s Thought: Falling in Love Again

“There is a constant in romance: you can’t control when, where, or how you fall in love. You can’t control with whom you fall in love. Faith is being open to the possibilities. It means you keep the door open to dating, no matter how discouraged you get. Ultimately the person who is right will walk in. Part of what keeps someone single is lack of faith and the other part is fear of the unknown” Laura Doyle

“When love isn’t in our lives, it’s on the way; that is the nature of the universe. If you know that special guest is coming, you prepare” Marianne Williamson

“There is a timing in relationships ~ most couples just knew when they met the right person and they all had a romantic story” Christian Carter

Today’s Thought: Follow your heart

“If you follow your heart, everything falls into place.” Brandon Sherwood

Most of us have no idea of what we think. We look outside for answers. We look to everybody except ourselves. We’re not living, not celebrating. Instead we’re following rules that some author we’ve never even met made up. I don’t care how smart the next bestselling author is. They don’t know the secrets to your life. Next time an idea whispers in your ear, take the time to listen. Invite it home for dinner. Say, yes I’m willing to try. Pam Grout

“If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves” Thomas Edison

“Every day, you are signaled and summoned to embark on a journey beyond the boundaries of all you have every known. You need only relinquish your fears, open your heart, and begin” Bob Savino
